“I am much stronger and more in control of my own happiness. I didn’t ever believe that I could feel calm and happy in this way.”

“I can personally attest that as a Family Medicine physician and co-director of Primary Care as well as a mom of two young kids, with a commute, and a partner who also has a demanding job, I may have left a job I love if it weren’t for physician coaching and development.”

What's the agenda?

The schedule for each day varies based on duration of offering, weather, time of year, and group preference.

Mindful and restorative yoga and inspired experiential mindfulness sessions happen daily. For CME offerings physician-facilitated CME-accredited coaching happens daily. Jessie and Mark shares their wisdom, insight, tools, and strategies throughout the small moments of each day.

No coaching, mindfulness, or yoga experience is required.

  • Mindful yoga is hatha-style. I do not teach vinyasa, power, hot, or exercise yoga. Mindful yoga is a mind-body-spirit experience. Yin, Restorative, or Sound Healing experiences are also offered.
  • The level and style of the yoga taught is similar to that offered on Jessie's YouTube channel. Opting out of poses and choosing "variations that work for you" is highly encouraged.
  • Mindfulness sessions are often outside, in nature, in locations that require walking on unpaved, uneven trails.

CME

  • 6-12 units of accredited AMA PRA Cat 1 CME are available for the the [Mindful Physician Buoyancy Coaching Program][5]. Actual number of CME credits varies by the duration of the offering. You are responsible for claiming only the units commensurate with your participation. You will receive a CME Evaluation after the retreat. If your evaluation is completed within two weeks, you will receive a CME certificate within several weeks.

Culinary Medicine with Mark Mahoney

Mark, Jessie’s husband, is a culinary craftsman. He shares an inspired approach to cooking and plant-forward eating. He invites you to taste with your eyes and approach cooking and nourishment with presence, calm, creativity, and wonder.

Mark learned to cook from his mom, who loved making complicated recipes using strange and hard-to-find ingredients. Mark got his start working at a food stall in Faneuil Hall during a gap year. After graduating from Cornell, Mark helped open Michel Richard’s flagship DC restaurant Citronelle. While Jessie was in med school and residency, Mark was a stay-at-home dad by day. At night, he worked at Wolfgang Puck’s celebrated SF restaurant, Postrio.

His superpower is curating and sharing recipes that are simple, beautiful, and healthy.

Mark is also an attorney. He and Jessie met in high school and have been together ever since.
