Just Because Everyone Else is Doing it Doesn’t Mean It is Right
This was brought up as a key learning at the September Sagrada coaching retreat.
We often think we are in the wrong when we do things differently than others.
We are taught in medicine there is a right way and wrong way.
A better and worse path.
We are also taught to look around, to compare, and often, despair.
What if you are the one doing it well?
What if the way others are doing it, isn’t the best way for you?
Your way could very likely be the best way for you.
It might be eating slowly and mindfully.
It might be how or when you practice yoga or mindfulness.
There is no right way to be well.
Wellness checklists and miracle morning routines rarely lead to peace, ease, and contentment and health.
You just might know best how you run your practice or your business.
There are a million right ways to do things.
Many of the ways we were taught to think and do things, are helpful for others and the system.
They are not healthy or sustainable for us as individuals, spouses, parents, or physicians.
Just because everyone else is doing something doesn’t make it right.
Most people in my world have done the prerequisite training and are very smart. Your way just might be even better than the status quo.
