In Medicine We Are Taught that there is a Right Way and A Wrong Way

We often think we are in the wrong when we do things differently from others.

In medicine, we are taught that there is a right way and a wrong way.

We are also taught to look around, to compare, and often, to despair.

What if you are the one doing it well?

What if the way others are doing it isn’t the best way for you?

Your way is very likely the best for you.

It might be eating slowly and mindfully.

It might be how or when you practice yoga or mindfulness.

There is no right way to be well.

Wellness checklists and Miracle Morning routines rarely lead to peace, ease, contentment, and health.

You just might know best how you run your practice or your business.

There are a million right ways to do things.

Many of the ways we were taught to think and act are helpful to others and to the system.

They are not healthy or sustainable for us as individuals, spouses, parents, or physicians.

Just because everyone else is doing something doesn’t make it right.

Most people in my world have done the prerequisite training and are very smart. Your way might even be better than the status quo.
