Rest and Recovery Are Tools For Excellence

Rest and recovery are tools for excellence employed by professional athletes.

Most of the rest of us do not see rest as a performance tool.

We think of rest as luxurious and sometimes even lazy -

rather than as critical to our health, welfare, and productivity.

Rest is a time management tool.

Rest is a productivity tool.

Rest is efficient.

Rest is energy management.

Rest keeps your battery charged and maintained so you don’t need AAA.

A well-lived life requires effective and healthy energy management.

We can’t live a deliberate life when we have had inadequate rest.

It’s hard to make changes and evolve and grow when our very basic human needs for energy maintenance aren’t being met.

Thoughts about rest do not need to include judgment or striving about how much rest “should” be needed.

What is the value of rest?

Is it ok to rest?

Are you lazy if you rest?

What if were instead simple- the more energy you expend the more energy repletion - REST - you need.
