What Would You Like to be Famous For?
Your “fame” doesn’t have to be public. It can be with family, friends, and community.
My dad is “famous” for making a genuine effort to connect with, laugh with, and learn from everyone he meets—anywhere and everywhere. That’s what we will talk about when he is no longer with us.
What impact do you want to make?
What is the impact you want to make?
Has it changed, given the state of the world we find ourselves in today?
My answer for today is this:
I would like to be “famous” for helping others create more mindful connections.
A different twist on doctoring.
I’ve been practicing this myself these past few weeks.
Mindful connections makes relationships feel different
Relationships—with spouses, young adults, teens, in-laws, colleagues—are rarely “easy.”
And still, with mindful connection, they can become more honest, more resilient, and more meaningful.
Not because the people change overnight.
Because we change how we show up.
We pause.
We listen better.
We stop trying to win.
We choose repair.
We soften our nervous system.
We remember what matters.
And from that place, relationships feel… more amazing.
