What’s possible when you stop carrying everything?

She was happy. She was also exhausted.

As a family physician, mother, daughter, wife, and leader, she had become remarkably skilled at doing what was expected of her. And much more.

Work said, “Do today’s work today,” so she found a way—even when yesterday’s work had already consumed half the day.

Being responsible and helpful had become automatic.

She rarely paused to ask whether everything she did was actually hers to do.

What is actually my job?” is a question she learned to ask in coaching.

It changed everything.

Sharing responsibility, delegating, and letting some things go did not make her less capable or less caring.

It made room for more of what mattered. Including fun.

She began salsa dancing. Making tiny artist trading cards. Creating things that did not need to be useful.

Connecting without an agenda.

She did not leave medicine or reduce her hours.

She changed how she lived inside her life as it was.

And that changed everything.
